Monogram Project

For this particular assignment, we were required to come up with a made up company. creating the title and logo using only two letters, then using typography to create this logo. This project had a number of stages we had to go though, ranging from a completely made up creative brief to mock ups related to the imaginary brand.
Sketches
The brand I came up with is a clothing company called "UltimaVibe Fitness" and as shown, the two letters I was assigned were U and V. For the sketching part of the assignment, we were urged by our instructor to create 48 sketches and concepts for a logo using the two letters. With each sketch being numbered, with the font being used to create it, along with whatever typography element/principle we used for it. And it was after the sketching stage where we took three to five of these sketches to create digital rough drafts of in Adobe Illustrator.
Digital Roughs
These are three of my drafts , with the last fifth one being my final design for my logo. As showcased above, I chose sketches 15, 25, 3, with 15 being my final choice for the design. Since I chose a clothing company as my brand, I wanted to choose logos that would stand out, as I envisioned my company producing clothing that would make one stand out.
Mockup
I put my logo onto a thank you card from the clothing brand.
